A Modern Take On A Classic Original

Our new Sway Sling has a story to tell, and it began over 30 years ago with our OG large leather sling: The HB-3 (yes, HB-3, as in the 3rd bag we ever designed).

When HOBO was just beginning, we crafted HB-3 to embody an easy, casual style. Natural leather, stained by hand. Rugged, yet lightweight. Made to be lived in and loved every day.

Fun Fact: HB-3 is featured in our original logo from 1991! The person pictured has the HB-3 slung over a shoulder, a nod to journeys old and new, and to bags with soul that are built to be lived in.

Every touch and scuff added to its story, making it more beautiful with each adventure. For Sway, we wanted to capture the magic of the original while making it feel fresh for the world we live in today.

We found the softest buffed leather so the sling would feel comfortable, casual, and welcoming, imbued with that loved-and-lived-in look from day one. It’s a bag that feels like an old friend from the moment you slip it on.
